1. Grievance Officer

2. How to raise a complaint
Email the Grievance Officer from your registered email address or with your registered mobile number, describing the issue and, where the complaint concerns specific content, the link or identifier of that content and the ground of complaint. Every complaint receives a ticket number so you can track it through to resolution.
3. Statutory timelines
Each timeline below is the one Indian law itself prescribes for the corresponding class of complaint - we follow the statutory timelines and do not undertake shorter ones.
- Acknowledgement: within 24 hours of receipt, as rule 3(2)(a) of the IT Rules requires; consumer and order-related complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours, as rule 4(5) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 requires.
- Resolution of grievances: within 7 days of receipt, as rule 3(2)(a)(i) of the IT Rules requires.
- Complaints seeking removal of content that violates the prohibited categories in our Terms of Service: acted on as expeditiously as possible and within 36 hours, as the first proviso to rule 3(2)(a)(i) of the IT Rules requires.
- Complaints by an individual (or someone on their behalf) about content exposing their private areas, showing them in nudity or a sexual act, or impersonating them, including morphed images: all reasonable and practicable measures to remove or disable the content within 2 hours, as rule 3(2)(b) of the IT Rules requires.
- Consumer complaints: redressed within one month of receipt, as rule 4(5) of the E-Commerce Rules requires.
- Orders of courts and notices from appropriate government agencies: acted on within the timelines of rule 3(1)(d) of the IT Rules.
4. If you are not satisfied
- Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC): you may appeal against the Grievance Officer's decision, or the absence of a decision in the period above, within 30 days, online at https://gac.gov.in. The GAC is constituted by the Central Government under rule 3A of the IT Rules and endeavours to decide appeals within 30 days.
- Consumer remedies: you may contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1915 or approach the District, State or National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- Personal-data grievances: raise them with the Grievance Officer first; once the corresponding provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 are in force, unresolved complaints may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India.
5. Copyright complaints
If you own copyright in a work and believe content on the Service infringes it, send a written complaint to the Grievance Officer identifying the work, evidence of your ownership or exclusive licence, the exact location of the allegedly infringing copy, and a statement that the use is not permitted under the Copyright Act, 1957. We act on such complaints in accordance with section 52(1)(c) of the Copyright Act, 1957 read with rule 75 of the Copyright Rules, 2013, including disabling access for 21 days pending a competent court's order where those provisions apply.
6. Law enforcement
Lawfully authorised government agencies may address orders, notices and requests for information or assistance to the Grievance Officer at the email and address above. Valid written orders are honoured within the timelines of rule 3(1)(j) of the IT Rules.
