Hunyuan 4 Preview is Tencent's sparse mixture-of-experts model for coding agents, complex tool-use workflows and productivity tasks. It has 770 billion total and 49 billion active parameters and supports long-context reasoning. This preview is hosted directly through DeepInfra.

Tencent designed Hy4 preview around practical productivity: software development, office work and scientific research. Its launch describes training informed by domain experts and development alongside Tencent's own work and coding products.

The evidence includes an internal blind assessment involving 163 experts and 203 engineering tasks. Tencent reports an average of 2.99 out of four, narrowly above the compared GLM and Kimi models. The small margin and internal evaluation setting matter when interpreting that claim; they do not establish superiority on every workload.

Tencent highlights planning, debugging, cross-document analysis and playable game prototypes. It also explicitly describes a preview-first release process that incorporates feedback before subsequent releases. Treat this as an evolving option for concrete workflows, and judge the quality of the resulting artifact rather than the breadth of the demonstration list.
